Stopped in while on vacation in Denver. The kavatender Matt (I think?) was very friendly and welcoming. Even when it got busy he made sure to check in on everyone and it was evident he puts a lot of thought and energy into creating a great environment and community here. If I'm ever back in Denver this is the first place I would try to go. If you like or are interested in kava. Many kava bars are more like kava lounges, which are cool in their own way. But kavasutra has the same setup of a classic bar and as someone who doesn't consume alcohol much anymore it's kind of fun to be in that setting but drinking kava.
A modern Colfax gem. Mad aura farming from all the tenders lowk. If you come in once, you’ll always be coming back.
Very helpful and kind staff. They stick to the traditional style of Kava which made it less overwhelming to choose what we wanted. Felt very good after our Guru shots!
I told the staff that it was my first time trying Kava and being in a Kava bar and they were so nice and welcoming! They definitely know their stuff and I had a super fun time hanging out in such a chill and welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be back! I do have to say that my stomach feel a little funky with my first drink but it got better after I drank water.

This is a safe sober place for a lot of folks and the staff is amazing Sarah, Wade, Matt, and Tate always make me feel welcome! They are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care about their customers. They have themed nights like karaoke on Thursdays, trivia on Tuesdays and it's a fun place to meet new friends!
Great place to chill, especially if you are a non drinker/sober. It is a sober bar. The staff is fantastic, each person a different background and story, good people. Thankful to have this place to go to when I’ve no clue what else to do, don’t want to be at bars, don’t want to be at home etc. it’s a checkpoint for me at this rate
Kavssutra has become a safe Haven for me in my sobriety, I honestly can't say enough about the good times I've had in this place. Sarah, matt, Tate and wade are all extremely bright and beautiful individuals and love to serve some good times. Everyone's welcome here and you get that vibe as soon as you walk in. Truly love this place.
